Once I finished the final iteration of the Sandman thumbnails that I liked. I enlarged it into a detailed marker drawing the same size as the final piece. I laminated this drawing so I could sculpt polymer clay directly on it, keeping all the reliefs in scale with each other while also retaining the same gestural movements to avoid stiff figures.
