About:
I had my first ever Friends-giving with some really amazing friends. To show my thanks, I made a silly magnet for them.
I want to premise, I don’t stand behind the colonial/ genocidal history of thanksgiving, yet, wanted to celebrate all that my friends have done for me.
During production, I hand illustrated each character and arranged them at the table. I chose warm and inviting colors that felt nostalgic. Every character represents an animal you would find rummaging through a dumpster, as many of my friends and I identify with their foraging tactics as artists.
